How long have you been in business?
McNeil & Meyers has been in business for 12 years as of 12/1/2017. We started as Accounts Retrievable, LLC and are now known as McNeil & Meyers Receivable Management Group.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a full service collections agency. We collect on commercial debt, all retail debts such as, judgments, student loans, apartments, leases, rental ect. We also specialize in managing account receivables for many companies around the United States, who prefer not to do their own collections, or manage themselves.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Jeff Hurley is the owner. Jeff started off in collections 25 years ago in the rent-to-own business, and then moved on to mortgage collections in Texas. He then relocated back home to New Orleans and became the Collections/Credit Director for Kirschman's Furniture. Soon after Katrina hit, Kirschman's sold out and he was urged by Mr, Kirschman to open his own agency.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We work every account thoroughly, we do not just work the easy accounts and then move on. We do not close an account unless the client wants us to. This brings in our clients unexpected revenue years down the road. Other agencies only work an account for a short period of time and does not put out anymore resources out to collect on the accounts. We do!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have two locations. Our main office is in Metairie, LA and in Dallas Fort Worth, TX.

We work hard at not only collecting, but working hard on our integrity. Collections has a bad reputation sometimes.
