How long have you been in business?
Kourasanit has been in business for 35 years. Kourasanit NOLA's showroom is the first in the US. We opened in February of 2013.
What is your primary product or service?
We distribute and install Kourasanit natural paints, plasters and coatings based on lime and lava (natural pozzolane) for interior and exterior spaces. Products can be applied to wet spaces too (pool, bathrooms, spas, water fountains, hammms etc)
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I visited Greece and had the opportunity to see some of Kourasanit's projects. Immediately I thought of opening a store in the US.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer high quality, environmentally-friendly mortars and exceptional service. Our products are breathable and contain no VOCs. A key pillar of this company’s action remains the environment and respect for people and nature. Its purpose is not only to create elegant spaces, but also to bequeath a legacy of quality of life for future generations.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
This is our first location in the US. We plan on expanding on the rest of the Gulf Coast and potentially to the rest of the country

The company is owned by Mr. Vasilis Tratselas (the owner of Kourasanit in Greece), Mr. Vasileios Zarganis and Mr. Anestis Taskos (showroom manager)
What are your hours of operation?
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and Saturdays by appointments only
